These are a great idea. unfortunately, I have mutant ears that the hooks don't fit onto without a lot of ear pulling and after a while the buds hurt my ears. Not from me having the sound up high and abusing my hearing, just from the fit of keeping them in my ears.
I was trying to avoid having to buy the 360 wraparound earmuffs with headphpnes in them.

Everyone has a unique shape and different comfort levels. So these are something you'll really need to try for yourself to evaluate. The BudFits greatly improve the stability of bare earbuds; I'm not chasing after one every few minutes to re-insert it, and that's a relief. They don't really do anything to improve the sound, but they do hold the earbud in place so that the sound can be fully appreciated. The material is flexible, and there's room for minor adjustments to earbud angle and height.
I found the BudFits to be comfortable and reliable for short-term use, at any physical activity level. But, they chafe with extended use. After a long session of ebook listening, the backs of my ears and the inner rim of my ear (where the earbud rests) were a little sore. I'm still looking for a more comfortable solution, but the EarBuds are the best I've found so far.
Something to note is that the earbuds snap into the BudFits upside-down and the cord fits into a channel along the top so that the cords come out behind your ears. This shortens the total cable length, and places the controls for the new iPod Shuffle between my earlobe and jawbone. Also, as with any other over-the-ear device, wearing glasses (or sunglasses) causes the fit to be sub-optimal. They still work with glasses on, but they're a bit less comfortable that way.
I definitely think these are handy. They're a lot less expensive than new earbuds with integrated iPod controls (and most of those don't sound any better than the stock earbuds) and they're less obtrusive than an adapter cable.

My sister bought these for me for use with the Apple earbuds that come with the Shuffle. (As far as I can tell you need to use the official earbuds with the Shuffle because the controls are on them, though it wouldn't surprise me to discover an unofficial brand with controls available as well.) I never used the free Apple headphones, because I thought the sound was crap and they didn't stay in, but these things are amazing! Not only do the Apple headphones stay put wile running, they actually sound decent, and they are comfortable. Everyone in my family has tried them on and everyone is impressed. (They are actually much better than my Bang & Olufsens, but that's not much of an achievement, really.) Honestly, these are so good I ordered more sent overnight (willingly paying the shipping) to take back to friends in the UK.
NB: These are clearly marketed as being for use with the Apple earbuds that come free with the iPods, iPhones, etc. If they work with any other brand, that's a lucky bonus, but you can't legitimately whinge or moan if they don't work with some other random brand!

I love these things. I just bought my second pair because my last ones have gotten too dirty from workouts (they're over a year old, so no surprise there). I know a lot of people complain about the Apple earphones, however I have always liked them and that's why the BudFits are perfect for me (especially now with my iPhone earphones since I use its mic feature frequently).
This little invention will keep your favorite earphones/earbuds in your ears without a chance of them falling out while you run or do the elliptical machines due to being sweaty. If that's the result you are looking for: then these are for you. Job done.

I love my iPod Shuffle (3rd Gen) headphones because I can do everything from the earphones themselves. The problem is when I go to the gym, I sweat so much that the earbuds were constantly falling out. I really didn't want a new set of ear phones so I starting searching for something that might work with the ear buds I have. I was happy to find the BudFits. They work great. the ear buds don't fall out at all. I was even happy to see that I can still use the functions on the ear buds but the buttons are a little higher than before. I could see this being a issue for iPhone ear buds when trying to talk on the ear phones.
I tried them twice so far and love them. I would recommend them to anyone who likes the apple ear buds but are having problems keeping the buds in.
