"quick and dirty review" 2010-01-31
By Morgan C. Hall (uk)
works like you'd expect it too. decent sound quality without blocking out all other noises. it took a time or two before i was comfortable with the feeling of them in my ears - they sort of squeezed a little it but don't anymore. so far i've had them about 3 weeks and have used them a lot.

"Great sound, a little uncomfortable" 2010-01-29
By W. Gutierrez (Sacramento, CA)
Pretty nice headphones for running and lifting weights. No slippage and the sound is good but they're a little uncomfortable in the ears. I might say a bit too tight.

"Great for Runners" 2010-01-21
By Smooth (Michigan, USA)
These are the best headphones I've tried for running any distance. I've run a half-marathon with these on and they stayed in place. Also, when doing speedwork (running), they don't bounce. I've worn them while doing crunches and other core work. I've worn them while lifting weights.

If you're like me and you sweat a lot while working out, you can't wear in-ear or the twist-to-fit types because they just don't stay in or your sweat gets between the ear plug and your ear.

The PMX70 headphones are different. They stay in place. And if you are doing an intense workout (causing you to sweat profusely), you can actually scoot the ear pieces back just a little bit (out of the ear canal) without sound degradation and without having sweat trapped between the earpiece and your ear canal. Even when I do this the ear pieces stay in place. The headphones have just the right amount of tension to keep them in place while you barely notice them.

If you're not fmmiliar with the fit of this type of headphone it takes a couple of days to get used to.

They are water resistant to the point where when I get done sweating all over them, I can clean them by rinsing them off in the sink. I usually put them by a fan or a heat vent afterward to dry them and they're ready to go the next time I need them.

The sound is great. They reach the full frequency range of human hearing, so no frequencies are cut out of your music. They are easy to hear in busy city traffic during ice storms as well as in the middle of the health club with 40 treadmills running on all sides of you (I'm sure a little of this is dependent on your MP3 player too - I use a little zen stone).

I've owned these for over two years. They've run a few thousand miles with me. Needless to say, they are well made and extremely durable.

I would recommend these to anyone serious about running that would like a pair of headphones that are completely functional in this capacity.

"Solid headphones" 2010-01-20
By LilJapnBoy (Cleveland, OH USA)
Originally bought these for working out, particularly for use at the gym. They work well, they are robust, sound quality is good, and the clip is nice to clip the wire to your shirt so keep enough slack from the headphones themselves and the audio player that it is plugged into.

They stay in the ears well, only negative was that because of the loop in the back, it obstructs with anything behind you, such as weight benches, mats, etc.

"Sweatproof? Sorta...." 2010-01-16
By Jeff M. Daniel
I am on my third pair of these, with the first two failures stemming from my sweating. To try and avoid this with the third pair, they stay in a sealed bag that is full of silica packs, to absorb any moisture. That seems to be working, but it shouldn't be necessary. The good thing is that Sennheiser has replaced them twice now, the bad thing is that they aren't very sweat/water resistant.
