Amazon.com Product Description

Even when you're really moving, these stylish new headphones fit snugly and comfortably. This model features Sony Acoustic Twin Turbo Circuitry that uses sound chamber and ducts for improved efficiency, gets high sonic output from your portable stereo.
The MDR-W08L headphones fit inside the ear for jostle-free listening. Created for active listeners, these headphones are better held in place with the wide, over-the-head headband. They are extremely lightweight (.5 ounces) and will provide hours of comfortable listening.

Sony uses 13.5 mm driver units in these headphones. While lightweight and small enough to fit inside the ear, they also deliver a good bass sound and wide frequency range (down to 20 Hz.) Neodymium magnets give the headphones maximum energy at a minimal size and weight. The open-air design allows for ambient noise to enter the ear, a safe feature for exercisers as you will hear car horns, passing bikers and dog barks. The cord is one meter long (3.3 feet) and the nickel-plated mini-plug offers crisp sound delivery. The headphones are a modern black color.

"Would not buy again" 2010-02-01
By CH
These headphones have okay sound quality, but two things definitely would make me recommend to everyone not to buy. First, the length of the wire from where you plug into your mp3 player, to your head is very short. I am 5'9 and couldn't put it in my pocket and run because it would just rip out of the headphone jack. If you are about 5'9 or above, I would definitely recommend passing on these. Second, was that the right ear stopped working after about 3 weeks. It now just cuts in with static every now and again, which is very annoying. So in the end, length and quality are major issues, and I would definitely not buy again.

"Don't waste you money time and time again." 2010-02-01

Yes, these headphones are about $10. Yes, they work good enough to listen to tunes or TV while you workout.
However, these headphone will only last you for about 6 months. After 6 months, one of the ears will go out. Listening to music and TV through one ear is very annoying, as I am sure many of you will confirm. I have gone though about half a dozen of these same headphones in my lifetime and all of them have ended up in a landfill.

Why did I go through half a dozen of these headphones you ask? 1. I am a cheap mofo. 2. I trusted you Sony!

Do your wallet and the Earth a favor and spend a little extra money for good quality headphones which will last you for years to come. I know I learned my lesson... the hard way.

On a side note, the chord on these headphones are little short, so plugging them to the TV on a treadmill at a gym creates a little discomfort that you will get used to.

"Great for working out!" 2010-01-31
By C. Nemeth
These are perfect for the gym. I usually buy 2 or 3 at a time and have them stashed at various places (gym bag, home, office). They last about 6 or 7 months with heavy use (and heavy sweating).

They are comfortable and don't fall off when working out! Highly recommend!

"The cord is too short for me" 2010-01-17
By C2000 (usa)
I need the cord to be about 3.9 feet - this cord is only 3.3 feet. I also would like to have volume control. I don't think these fit in the ears very well. I only bought these because I was desperate, since I don't like anything currently on the market. I also own Sennheiser PX 10 headphones, which do have volume control, but also have a cord that is too short. I wish Panasonic still made the lightweight In-the-ear headphones RP-HS35 (no longer available).

"comfortable and great sound!" 2010-01-10
By ABC MOM (Brooklyn, NY)
I've had many variations of this type of earphones....going back to the sony walkmans. The other earbud types hurt my ear after a few hours, these are the most comfortable and the sound is great. I've had no reliability issues. I purchased these for my kids to use b/c they are comfortable for smaller ears, they can't wear the earbud types as they fall out, and the traditional headphones tend to be bulky and difficult to fit over smaller heads, so I feel these are ideal for kids.

Unfortunately my kids lose them everyonce in a while, luckily they are cheap to replace.
